I h8 The Yankees

Yesterday was a tough game. I dont even know the score of my game. Well yesterday we played the Yankees. They have this pitcher named Pedro who throws at least 70 mph. Ill start off with my first at-bat.

The first pitch was an outside strike. I realized after that strike that the umpire had a WIDE strike zone. (I forgot to mention that one of my teammates got ejected for arguing a strike.) So the second pitch was inside so I swong for it. I didnt realize that is was impossible to hit this pitch until the last second. Before I could get out of the way the ball hit my thumb dead on. The thing that really hurt was that I swong at a 70 mph pitch and while I was still swinging the ball hit my thumb. So I have this blister on my thumb now and it hurts to play video games. So the final pitch of the at-bat I kind of struck out on purpose so I could ice my thumb.

So later in the game Pedro (the other teams pitcher) was running home to score. Our catcher was about to catch the ball and tag Pedro out than BOOM! Pedro tucks his shoulder in and hits our catcher as hard as he could tackle style to knock him over. This is not a legal play in our league. But these umpires are retarded or something and call Pedro safe!!! We were like "Are you kidding me!!!" The same thing happened earlier in the season to Pedro and he was called out and ejected. This time the call him safe and he stayed in the game. Meanwhile our catcher is hurt and he had to leave the game for an inning.

On my second at bat the score is like 6-0 Yankees. All I remember from my at bat was hitting the ball and running like heck to first base. The third baseman threw a wild throw to first base so I made it to second on the error. Then the next batter bunted. When he bunted the ball I waited halfway between second and third to see where Pedro would throw the ball. Pedro threw it to first base and I ran to second. The first baseman threw a bad throw to third and I scored our first run of the game. Everything else after that was a blur. All I rememer was my coach benching me because he needed to bring in a substitute and I had a hurt thumb so it worked out.

So around the 7th inning our pitcher was not doing well so coach pulls me off the bench to pitch. The bases are loaded and there are no outs and the number 9 hitter is up. I struck him out. 1 out bases loaded. The number 1 hitter is up. The count is 1-2. The next pitch he hit a hard fly ball to left field. Lucky for me it was foul. Next pitch I struck him out. So there is 2 outs with the number 2 hitter up. The count is 2-0 so I gave him a slow fast ball and he flied out to 2nd base. I did so good at pitching that my coach told me I am the starting pitcher next game. w00t.
